Pastor Ian Renwick
Lead Pastor, Grace Community Church
Pastor Ian Renwick joined Grace Community Church (GCC) in Prunedale, California, in February 2023, where he currently serves as the Lead Pastor. A graduate of Grace College & Grace Theological Seminary in Indiana, Pastor Ian brings a deep commitment to spiritual guidance, leadership development, and community building to the GCC family. He and his wife, Ashley, are the proud parents of five active children: Zane, Rys, Bria, and twins Aidan and Owen.
Pastoral & Ministry Leadership
Prior to stepping into his role at Grace Community Church, Pastor Ian served as an Associate Pastor at Valley Bible Church in Virginia. During his tenure, his leadership responsibilities grew significantly, expanding from preaching and teaching to coordinating music teams and directing the Coached By Christ program.
Pastor Ian’s earlier ministry work heavily focused on worship arts and administrative leadership. He served as the Lead Worshipper at Aptos Christian Fellowship, where he successfully expanded the music ministry from three musicians to a diverse team of twelve, while also managing the media department, technical systems, and seasonal presentations. Additionally, as a Worship Intern at Faith Community Church, he developed robust organizational skills and successfully managed the music ministry during a pastoral sabbatical.
Professional Background & Operational Expertise
Complementing his pastoral work, Pastor Ian possesses a strong background in retail leadership and operational management. He previously served as a Customer Service Lead and Cash Office Specialist at Family Fare, overseeing daily operations, staff scheduling, training, and financial accounting. He also honed his skills in inventory logistics, team leadership, and direct customer assistance as a Sales Floor Leader for Orchard Supply Hardware.
This unique blend of business administration, technical capability, and pastoral care allows Pastor Ian to effectively lead GCC both spiritually and operationally, fostering an environment where individuals and families can thrive in their faith.
