Pastor Ian Renwick

Pastor Ian Renwick joined Grace Community Church in Prunedale in February of 2023 and is currently serving as the church’s Lead Pastor. He and his wife Ashley have five active children including: Zane, Rys, Bria, and twins: Aidan and Owen.

Prior to joining GCC, Renwick was an Associate Pastor at Valley Bible Church in Virginia. Renwick’s professional journey includes significant contributions within religious organizations, where he honed skills in leadership, program coordination, and spiritual guidance. At Valley Bible Church, Renwick’s responsibilities evolved from initial duties including classwork and preaching to coordinating music teams and leading the Coached By Christ program.

Before that, Renwick served as a Lead Worshipper at Aptos Christian Fellowship. In this capacity, he was instrumental in growing the music ministry, expanding it from three players to over twelve within a church of fifty. Renwick managed the media department, planned and executed holiday presentations, and maintained the sound system.

He also led weekly rehearsals and guided the congregation in worship. Earlier in his career, Renwick gained valuable experience as a Worship Intern at Faith Community Church, where he focused on a service-oriented approach to worship, developed management and organizational skills, and successfully ran the music ministry during a period of staff sabbatical.

Renwick’s background also encompasses roles in customer service and retail leadership, including a position as Customer Service Lead at Family Fare. There, he assisted in daily store operations, focusing on staff scheduling, training, and management to ensure a high level of customer experience. Renwick also developed expertise as a Cash Office Specialist, managing financial transactions and balancing daily accounts. His experience extends to roles such as Sales Floor Leader and Sales Associate at Orchard Supply Hardware, where he provided customer assistance, managed inventory, and occasionally supported the electrical department, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to service.

Renwick is a graduate of Grace College & Grace Theological Seminary in Indiana and has recently received his ordination.
